EBEC Challenge
GET BETTER AT YOUR TECHNICAL SKILLS AND GAIN EXPERIENCE AT THE BIGEST STUDENT ENGENEERING COMPETITION IN EUROPE!
EBEC Challenge (European BEST Engineering Competition) is European engineering competition which is organized in almost all science universities. Every year more than 6500 students from more than 87 universities and more than 32 countries participate. It is a two- day competition that is executed in two parts:
TEAM DESIGN:
- Ten four-member teams,
- limited time,
- practical task,
- given material,
- making of a device, that will solve the problem in the practical task,
- presentations of solutions.
CASE STUDY:
- Ten four-member teams,
- limited time,
- realistic task, given from a company,
- realistic task, given from a company,
- to find a hypothetical solution, that can be used in real project,
- to find a hypothetical solution, that can be used in real project.
This competition is a big advantage for participants. They get important experiences with team work, finding ideas, creativity, ability to cooperate and organize work inside each team. They improve their innovative skills, inventiveness, out of the box thinking and they improve their abilities of diverse natural sciences and engineering fields. They also get to know many new people with similar interests. Because of limited time and materials they get a feeling of working in professional working environments. Participants also get in touch with companies and they gain references and feedback, why their solution is good and how they could improve it. After all presentations participants learn that there are different ways to solve a problem of a given task.
