Are you interested in becoming engineer? Bord of European Students of Technology (BEST) organizes engineering competitions for more quite some time. BEST wanted to introduce some challanges to students of technology and science, where they would compete with other students from their own University, as well as with students from other Universities from Europe. And so EBEC, engineering competiton, was invented.
European BEST Engineering Competition Maribor is an event, split in different categories, where student teams compete by solving different problems with implementing their knowledge, soft skills and inovative ideas. Under given conditions (time, material, situation, ...), students have to make quality product looking on financial aspect, effectivness and inovation. Teams are build of 4 students, that work together in two categories: Team Design and Case Study.
Making plans for new projets? Solving different everyday problems? No problem. You can apply and compete in Case Study. Your team gets real problem, that needs to be solved. Your job is to solve the problem in given time and introduce your solution to professionals in our jury. Can you solve the problem like they solve it in successfull company?
In this category you can show your abilities, imagination, inovation. Team gets a task to make certain product; you're given material and limited time for making the product. After production it's time to test the product effectivness in front of the jury.
EBEC is held on almost every technological University in Europe and it's recognized as biggest engineering competition in Europe. Winners of local round, continue competition on regional round (this year in Ljubljana). If team wins regional round of EBEC, they get to go to grand final round, which is this year hosted by serbian capital Belgrade.
